About this event

Sales of electric vehicles in the UK are soaring – 1 in 5 new cars are now either fully electric or a plug-in hybrid. With this surge in popularity comes an urgent need to ensure that we have an EV public charging infrastructure capable of supporting this growth, both now and in the future.

There are two key priorities for Local Authorities to consider:

  1. Providing the right chargepoints in the right place, at the right price.
  2. Being part of a co-ordinated consumer focused approach at a local, regional and national level.

This free one day workshop is for all local authority personnel tasked with the rollout of EV charging infrastructure in their area, and is run by Zemo Partnership in collaboration with Coventry City Council and Western Power Distribution.

On the day you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Hear the first-hand experiences and learnings from Coventry City Council’s public charging programme
  • Ask our panel of experts for help and guidance
  • Meet colleagues from neighbouring LAs
  • Make contact with key public EV charging infrastructure stakeholders
  • Free networking lunch

Spaces are strictly limited and available on a first come first served basis, so please register now for your free place.

Outline Agenda (full agenda will be sent to you after registration):

  • Setting the scene - Background, national and regional policy positions
  • Local experience - Hear from the host city on their experience so far
  • Regional fleet requirements - Discuss what the transport requirements for the area are
  • Networking lunch - Discuss issues with colleagues from neighbouring authorities over a bite to eat.
  • Local barriers and opportunities - Discuss with colleagues from the region what shared hurdles need to be overcome and experts in the field share what potential solutions could be implemented.

NOTE

This event has been rearranged from the 19th September when it was postponed due to the State Funeral of Queen Elizabeth II
